Nana’s Juicy Garlic Butter Pork Chops
Tender, juicy pork chops seared until golden and finished in a rich garlic butter sauce. Simple, comforting, and packed with old-fashioned homemade flavor.
Ingredients:
- 4 bone-in pork chops, about 1 inch thick
- 1 tsp salt
- ½ tsp black pepper
- 1 tsp paprika
- ½ tsp garlic powder
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 3 tbsp unsalted butter
- 4 garlic cloves, minced
- ½ cup chicken broth
- 1 tsp Italian seasoning
- 1 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped
Instructions:
- Pat the pork chops dry with paper towels. Season both sides with salt, pepper, paprika, and garlic powder.
- Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
- Add the pork chops and sear for 3–4 minutes per side, until nicely browned.
- Reduce the heat to medium. Add the butter and minced garlic to the skillet.
- Cook for about 30 seconds, stirring the garlic so it doesn’t burn.
- Pour in the chicken broth and sprinkle in the Italian seasoning. Scrape up the browned bits from the bottom of the pan.
- Spoon the garlic butter sauce over the pork chops and simmer for 3–5 minutes, or until the pork reaches 145°F (63°C) internally.
- Remove from the heat and let the chops rest for 5 minutes.
- Spoon the pan sauce over the chops and garnish with fresh parsley.
Serve with mashed potatoes, rice, green beans, or roasted vegetables for a comforting family dinner.
