Slow Cooker Beef Cubed Steaks

Ingredients

  • 4 beef cube steaks
  • 1 onion, sliced
  • 2 cups beef broth
  • 1 packet onion soup mix
  • 1 can (10.5 oz) cream of mushroom soup
  • 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • Fresh parsley for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Place the sliced onions in the bottom of the slow cooker.
  2. Season the cube steaks with garlic powder and black pepper.
  3. Heat the butter in a skillet over medium-high heat and brown the steaks for about 2 minutes on each side.
  4. In a bowl, whisk together the beef broth, onion soup mix, cream of mushroom soup, and flour.
  5. Arrange the steaks on top of the onions and pour the sauce over them.
  6. Cover and cook on low for 6 to 8 hours, or on high for 3 to 4 hours, until the meat is tender.
  7. Spoon the gravy over the steaks and garnish with parsley if desired.

Serving suggestions: Serve with mashed potatoes, rice, or buttered noodles. Enjoy!
