Cheesy Taco Crescent Pie
A flaky golden crescent crust wrapped around savory taco-seasoned beef, melty cheese, and all your favorite taco flavors! This easy family dinner is packed with comfort-food goodness and disappears fast every time it hits the table.
Ingredients
- 1 lb (450 g) ground beef
- 1 packet taco seasoning (or 2 tablespoons homemade taco seasoning)
- ⅔ cup water
- 2 cans (8 oz each) refrigerated crescent roll dough
- 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- ½ cup sour cream
- 1 cup shredded lettuce
- 1 medium tomato, diced
- ¼ cup sliced black olives (optional)
- 2 green onions, sliced
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef until browned. Drain excess fat.
- Stir in taco seasoning and water. Simmer for 3–5 minutes until thickened.
- Unroll one can of crescent dough and press it into the bottom of a 9-inch pie dish, sealing perforations.
- Spread the seasoned beef evenly over the crust.
- Mix the cheddar and mozzarella cheeses together and sprinkle about three-quarters over the beef.
- Unroll the second can of crescent dough and place it over the cheese layer, pinching edges to seal.
- Bake for 20–25 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown.
- Remove from the oven and let cool for 5 minutes.
- Top with the remaining cheese, sour cream, lettuce, tomato, black olives, and green onions.
- Slice and serve warm.
Tips
- Add diced jalapeños for extra heat.
- Swap ground beef for ground turkey or chicken.
- Serve with salsa, guacamole, or extra sour cream.
