Viral Mexican Garlic Butter Tortilla Wraps
These crispy, buttery tortilla wraps are packed with seasoned beef, gooey cheese, and bold taco flavor—then brushed with rich garlic butter and pan-fried until golden and crunchy. Easy, fast, and dangerously good.
Ingredients
- 1 lb (450 g) ground beef
- 1 tbsp taco seasoning
- 1/4 cup (60 ml) water
- 4 large flour tortillas
- 1 cup (100 g) shredded cheddar or Mexican blend cheese
- 1/2 cup diced tomatoes (optional)
- 1/4 cup chopped cilantro (optional)
Garlic Butter
- 3 tbsp butter, melted
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- Pinch of salt
- 1 tbsp chopped parsley (optional)
Instructions
- Cook the beef
In a skillet over medium heat, brown the ground beef. Drain excess fat. Add taco seasoning and water. Simmer 2–3 minutes until thick and flavorful. - Make garlic butter
Mix melted butter, minced garlic, salt, and parsley. - Prep the tortillas (wrap hack)
Cut a slit from the center of each tortilla to the edge.
Imagine 4 quarters:- Quarter 1: beef
- Quarter 2: cheese
- Quarter 3: tomatoes/cilantro
- Quarter 4: empty (for folding)
- Fold
Fold the tortilla over itself quarter by quarter to form a layered triangle. - Brush & toast
Brush the outside with garlic butter. Place in a skillet over medium heat. Cook 2–3 minutes per side until golden brown and crispy and the cheese melts. - Serve
Slice and serve hot. Great with sour cream, salsa, or guacamole.
Tips
- Swap beef for chicken or beans.
- Add jalapeños for heat.
- Air-fryer: 190°C (375°F) for 6–8 minutes, flipping once.
