Viral Mexican Garlic Butter Tortilla Wraps

These crispy, buttery tortilla wraps are packed with seasoned beef, gooey cheese, and bold taco flavor—then brushed with rich garlic butter and pan-fried until golden and crunchy. Easy, fast, and dangerously good.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb (450 g) ground beef
  • 1 tbsp taco seasoning
  • 1/4 cup (60 ml) water
  • 4 large flour tortillas
  • 1 cup (100 g) shredded cheddar or Mexican blend cheese
  • 1/2 cup diced tomatoes (optional)
  • 1/4 cup chopped cilantro (optional)

Garlic Butter

  • 3 tbsp butter, melted
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • Pinch of salt
  • 1 tbsp chopped parsley (optional)

Instructions

  1. Cook the beef
In a skillet over medium heat, brown the ground beef. Drain excess fat. Add taco seasoning and water. Simmer 2–3 minutes until thick and flavorful.
  2. Make garlic butter
Mix melted butter, minced garlic, salt, and parsley.
  3. Prep the tortillas (wrap hack)
Cut a slit from the center of each tortilla to the edge.
    Imagine 4 quarters:

    • Quarter 1: beef
    • Quarter 2: cheese
    • Quarter 3: tomatoes/cilantro
    • Quarter 4: empty (for folding)
  4. Fold
Fold the tortilla over itself quarter by quarter to form a layered triangle.
  5. Brush & toast
Brush the outside with garlic butter. Place in a skillet over medium heat. Cook 2–3 minutes per side until golden brown and crispy and the cheese melts.
  6. Serve
Slice and serve hot. Great with sour cream, salsa, or guacamole.

Tips

  • Swap beef for chicken or beans.
  • Add jalapeños for heat.
  • Air-fryer: 190°C (375°F) for 6–8 minutes, flipping once.
