 Smoked Gouda Cheesy Mashed Potatoes

Creamy, rich, smoky, and loaded with melty Gouda… these mashed potatoes are pure comfort food perfection

Ingredients

  • 3 lbs Yukon Gold potatoes, peeled and cubed
  • 4 tbsp butter
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 2 cups smoked Gouda cheese, shredded
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 3 garlic cloves, minced
  • Salt, to taste
  • Black pepper, to taste
  • Chopped parsley for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Place potatoes in a large pot and cover with salted water.
  2. Bring to a boil and cook for 15–20 minutes, until fork tender.
  3. Drain the potatoes well and return them to the pot.
  4. In a small saucepan, melt butter over medium heat. Add garlic and cook for 1 minute until fragrant.
  5. Pour in the heavy cream and warm gently.
  6. Mash the potatoes until smooth and creamy.
  7. Stir in sour cream and smoked Gouda cheese.
  8. Slowly add the warm cream mixture while mixing until perfectly creamy.
  9. Season with salt and black pepper to taste.
  10. Garnish with parsley and extra cheese if desired. Serve hot
