Golden on the outside, soft and fluffy inside, and loaded with buttery garlic and melty cheese in every bite. This pull-apart loaf is perfect for sharing—serve it hot and watch it disappear in minutes.
Ingredients
- 1 large loaf Italian or French bread
- ½ cup unsalted butter, softened
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped
- 1½ cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- ½ cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 2 tablespoons grated Parmesan cheese
- Salt, to taste
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a bowl, mix the softened butter, minced garlic, parsley, and a pinch of salt.
- Slice the bread loaf in a crisscross pattern (like a grid), without cutting all the way through.
- Gently spread the garlic butter mixture deep into all the cuts.
- Stuff the mozzarella and cheddar cheese into the cuts, making sure every gap is filled.
- Sprinkle Parmesan over the top.
- Wrap the loaf loosely in foil and bake for 15 minutes.
- Open the foil and bake another 10 minutes until the cheese is melted and bubbly and the top is slightly crispy.
- Serve warm and pull apart to enjoy.
Tips
- Add red pepper flakes for a spicy kick.
- Swap parsley with basil for a different herb flavor.
- Best served fresh from the oven while the cheese is stretchy.
