Creamy Pea Salad with Bacon

Ingredients
- 4 cups frozen peas (thawed)
- 4–8 slices bacon (cooked & crumbled)
- ½ cup cheddar cheese (cubed or shredded)
- ⅓–½ cup red onion (finely chopped)
- ½ cup mayonnaise
- ½ cup sour cream (or yogurt for lighter version)
- 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
- 1 tablespoon sugar
- Salt & black pepper (to taste)
Many versions also add celery for crunch or parsley for freshness
Instructions
- Cook bacon until crispy, then crumble and set aside.
- In a large bowl, combine:
- peas
- cheese
- red onion
- bacon
- In a separate bowl, whisk together:
- mayonnaise
- sour cream (or yogurt)
- vinegar
- sugar
- salt & pepper
- Pour dressing over the salad and mix well.
- Chill for 30 minutes before serving for best flavor.
