 Slow Cooker Amish Chicken & Noodles 5-Ingredient Version

 Ingredients

  • 2 chicken breasts or 4 chicken thighs (boneless preferred)
  • 1 can cream of chicken soup
  • 1 can cream of mushroom soup (optional but makes it richer)
  • 4 cups chicken broth
  • 300–400g egg noodles

Optional:

  • Salt and black pepper
  • Garlic powder
  • Fresh parsley for garnish

 Instructions

1. Add the chicken

Place the chicken into the slow cooker.

2. Add the sauce

Pour in:

  • Cream of chicken soup
  • Cream of mushroom soup
  • Chicken broth

Stir slightly to combine.

3. Slow cook

Cover and cook:

  • LOW: 6–7 hours
    or
  • HIGH: 3–4 hours
    until the chicken is very tender.

4. Shred the chicken

Remove the chicken, shred it with two forks, then return it to the slow cooker.

5. Add noodles

Add the egg noodles directly into the slow cooker.

Cook for 20–30 minutes, until noodles are soft and cooked.

6. Serve

Stir well and serve hot
Garnish with parsley if desired.

 Tips

  • Add a little extra broth if it gets too thick.
  • For extra creaminess, stir in 2 tablespoons cream cheese.
  • Best served fresh while hot and creamy.
