One Pot Kielbasa Pasta

 One Pot Kielbasa Pasta Creamy & Cheesy

 Ingredients

  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 450 g (1 lb) smoked kielbasa (or turkey/chicken sausage), sliced
  • 1 medium onion, diced
  • 2–3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 cups (480 ml) chicken broth
  • 1 can diced tomatoes (about 280–400 g), with juice
  • 225 g (8 oz) dry pasta (penne, rotini, or elbows)
  • ½ cup (120 ml) milk or heavy cream
  • Salt & pepper, to taste
  • 1 cup (100 g) shredded cheddar cheese
  • Sliced scallions (optional, for garnish)

 Instructions

  1. Heat the pan
    Add olive oil to a large skillet or pot over medium-high heat.
  2. Cook sausage & onion
    Add sliced kielbasa and diced onion. Cook ~5 minutes until browned and softened.
  3. Add garlic
    Stir in garlic and cook for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
  4. Add everything else
    Pour in chicken broth, diced tomatoes, milk/cream, and dry pasta.
    Season with salt and pepper, then stir well.
  5. Simmer
    Let it cook uncovered for about 12–15 minutes, stirring occasionally, until pasta is tender and sauce thickens.
  6. Make it creamy
    Remove from heat and stir in half the cheese until melted.
  7. Finish with cheese
    Sprinkle the rest of the cheese on top, cover, and let it melt until gooey.
  8. Serve
    Garnish with scallions and serve hot.
