Asparagus Stuffed Chicken Fillet
Juicy chicken breasts filled with tender asparagus and melty cheese, then baked to golden perfection. Simple, elegant, and full of flavor.
Ingredients
- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 12 asparagus spears, trimmed
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tsp paprika
- 1 tsp Italian seasoning
- Salt and black pepper, to taste
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- Toothpicks (to secure)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 200°C (400°F).
- Slice a pocket into the side of each chicken breast without cutting all the way through.
- Season the inside and outside of the chicken with salt, pepper, paprika, and Italian seasoning.
- Stuff each breast with 3 asparagus spears, a sprinkle of garlic, and a generous handful of mozzarella.
- Secure the openings with toothpicks.
- Heat olive oil in an oven-safe skillet over medium-high heat. Sear the chicken for 2–3 minutes per side until golden.
- Transfer the skillet to the oven and bake for 15–20 minutes, or until the chicken is fully cooked (internal temp 75°C / 165°F).
- Remove toothpicks, let rest for 5 minutes, and serve warm.
Tip: Add a squeeze of lemon juice before serving for extra freshness.
