This Easy Crab Salad is creamy, fresh, and packed with delicious flavor! Made with tender crab meat, crunchy vegetables, and a simple creamy dressing, it comes together in just minutes. Serve it as a light lunch, a side dish, or tucked into sandwiches for an easy meal.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound cooked crab meat, picked over and chopped
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
  • 1/2 cup finely chopped celery
  • 1/4 cup finely chopped red onion
  • 1/4 cup finely chopped bell pepper
  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley
  • 1/2 teaspoon Old Bay seasoning
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
  • Salt, to taste
  • Black pepper, to taste

Instructions

  1. Place the crab meat in a large mixing bowl. Gently check for any shells and remove them.
  2. Add the chopped celery, red onion, bell pepper, and parsley.
  3. In a separate small bowl, whisk together the mayonnaise, lemon juice, Dijon mustard, Old Bay seasoning, and garlic powder.
  4. Pour the dressing over the crab mixture.
  5. Gently fold everything together until well combined, being careful not to break up the crab too much.
  6. Season with salt and black pepper to taste.
  7. Cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes before serving to allow the flavors to blend.
  8. Serve chilled over lettuce, with crackers, or as a sandwich filling.

Tips

  • For the best flavor, use fresh crab meat when available.
  • Imitation crab can also be used for a budget-friendly version.
  • Add a little extra lemon juice for a brighter, fresher flavor.
  • For a lighter salad, replace part of the mayonnaise with plain Greek yogurt.
  • Keep refrigerated and enjoy within 2 days.
