Ingredients
- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts

- 1 medium yellow onion, thinly sliced
- 3 cloves garlic, minced

- 3 tablespoons cold water

Instructions
- Pat the chicken breasts dry with paper towels. Season both sides evenly with salt, black pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and paprika.
- Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the chicken and sear for 2–3 minutes per side, until lightly golden. Transfer the chicken to the slow cooker.
- Add the sliced onion to the same skillet and cook for 3–4 minutes, until softened. Add the minced garlic and cook for another 30 seconds.
- Transfer the onions and garlic to the slow cooker, arranging them around and over the chicken.
- In a medium bowl, whisk together the chicken broth, cream of chicken soup, heavy cream, dried thyme, and dried parsley until smooth.
- Pour the creamy mixture over the chicken and onions, making sure everything is well coated.
- Cover and cook on LOW for 5–6 hours or HIGH for 3–4 hours, until the chicken is tender and reaches an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C).
