  • 1 sheet puff pastry or pie crust
  • 5–6 Golden Delicious apples
  • 3 tablespoons granulated sugar

  • 1 packet vanilla sugar
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon

  5. Arrange the apple slices in overlapping circles over the applesauce.
  6. Sprinkle the apples evenly with the granulated sugar, brown sugar, vanilla sugar, and cinnamon.
  7. Cut the butter into small pieces and scatter them over the apples.
  8. Bake for 35–45 minutes, or until the apples are tender, golden, and lightly caramelized and the crust is nicely browned.
  9. While the tart is baking, warm the apricot jam with 1 tablespoon of water until smooth.
  10. When the tart comes out of the oven, gently brush the warm apricot glaze over the apples.
  11. Let the tart cool for 5–10 minutes, then serve warm.
