Cheese Steak Hamburger Helper

A hearty one-pan meal made with ground beef, peppers, pasta, and plenty of melted cheese.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound (450 g) ground beef
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 1 green bell pepper, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 cups beef broth
  • 1 cup milk
  • 2 cups uncooked pasta shells
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • ½ teaspoon paprika
  • Salt and black pepper, to taste
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil

Instructions

  1. Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
  2. Add the onion and green bell pepper, and cook for 3 to 4 minutes until softened.
  3. Add the garlic and ground beef. Cook until the beef is browned, breaking it apart as it cooks. Drain any excess fat.
  4. Stir in the beef broth, milk, Worcestershire sauce, Italian seasoning, paprika, salt, and black pepper.
  5. Add the pasta shells and bring the mixture to a boil.
  6. Reduce the heat, cover, and simmer for 10 to 12 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the pasta is tender.
  7. Sprinkle in the shredded cheese and stir until it melts completely.
  8. Serve hot and enjoy!
