Ingredients
For the Chicken Wings
- 600 g chicken wings
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1 teaspoon chili flakes
- 1 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1 tablespoon garlic paste
- 2 tablespoons lemon juice
- 2 tablespoons oil
- 1 tablespoon soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons ketchup
- 1 tablespoon mustard sauce
For the Butter Garlic Sauce
- 4 tablespoons butter
- 1 tablespoon oil
- 3 garlic cloves, finely chopped
- 1 teaspoon chili flakes
- 1 tablespoon ketchup
- 1/2 teaspoon hot sauce
- 1 tablespoon soy sauce
- 1 teaspoon lemon juice
- 2 tablespoons chopped parsley or cilantro
- 1 tablespoon honey (optional, for a touch of sweetness)
Instructions
- Marinate the Wings:
In a large bowl, combine the chicken wings with salt, paprika, chili flakes, black pepper, garlic powder, oregano, garlic paste, lemon juice, oil, soy sauce, ketchup, and mustard. Mix thoroughly, ensuring every wing is well coated. Let marinate for at least 30 minutes, or up to 4 hours for extra flavor. - Prepare the Air Fryer:
Preheat the air fryer to 180°C (350°F) for 10 minutes. - Cook the Wings:
Arrange the wings in a single layer in the air fryer basket. Cook for 20 minutes, then flip the wings. If desired, add fries at this stage and continue cooking for another 20–25 minutes, or until the wings are crispy and fully cooked. - Make the Butter Garlic Sauce:
While the wings cook, heat butter and oil in a pan over medium heat. Add chopped garlic and sauté for 2–3 minutes until fragrant. Stir in chili flakes, ketchup, hot sauce, soy sauce, lemon juice, honey (if using), and parsley. Mix until the sauce is smooth and well combined. - Coat and Serve:
Toss the hot wings in the butter garlic sauce until evenly coated. Serve immediately with fries, extra parsley, and lemon wedges.
Tips
- For extra crispy wings, lightly spray them with oil before air frying.
- Avoid overcrowding the air fryer basket.
- Adjust the chili flakes and hot sauce to your preferred spice level.
