Homemade Chimichurri Sauce

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup fresh parsley, finely chopped
  • 1/4 cup fresh cilantro, finely chopped
  • 3 garlic cloves, finely minced
  • 1/2 cup extra-virgin olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons red wine vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes, or to taste
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper

Instructions:

  1. Finely chop the parsley, cilantro, and garlic.
  2. Add them to a bowl and stir in the oregano, red pepper flakes, salt, and black pepper.
  3. Pour in the olive oil, red wine vinegar, and lemon juice.
  4. Mix everything well until combined.
  5. Let the chimichurri rest for at least 20–30 minutes before serving so the flavors can blend.
  6. Serve over grilled steak, chicken, lamb, shrimp, or roasted vegetables.

Tip: For the best flavor, prepare it a few hours ahead and keep it refrigerated. Let it come to room temperature before serving.
