- 1 (5-ounce) can tuna, drained
- 7 ounces cream cheese, softened
- 2 tablespoons chopped fresh chives or parsley
- 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
- Salt and black pepper, to taste
For the Lemon Sauce
- 1/2 cup plain Greek yogurt or sour cream
- 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
- 1 teaspoon lemon zest
- 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
- Salt and black pepper, to taste
Instructions
- In a medium bowl, combine the drained tuna, softened cream cheese, chopped herbs, lemon juice, salt, and black pepper. Mix until smooth and well combined.
- Trim the crusts from the bread slices and flatten each slice with a rolling pin.
- Spread an even layer of the tuna mixture over each slice of bread.
- Roll each slice up tightly and wrap it in plastic wrap.
- Refrigerate for 30 to 60 minutes to help the rolls hold their shape.
- Remove the plastic wrap and slice each roll into 1-inch pieces.
Make the Lemon Sauce
- In a small bowl, whisk together the Greek yogurt (or sour cream), lemon juice, lemon zest, Dijon mustard, salt, and black pepper until smooth.
- Serve the sauce alongside the sandwich roll-ups for dipping.
Tips
- Chill the roll-ups before slicing for the cleanest cuts.
- Add finely chopped cucumber, celery, or green onions to the filling for extra crunch.
- Garnish with fresh parsley, dill, or a sprinkle of paprika before serving.
- These bite-sized roll-ups are perfect for parties, brunches, picnics, or as a quick and refreshing appetizer.
