- 2 tablespoons mayonnaise
- Salt, to taste

Instructions

- Spread 1 tablespoon of mayonnaise evenly on each slice of bread.
- Arrange the tomato slices over one slice of bread, slightly overlapping them.
- Sprinkle generously with salt and freshly ground black pepper.
- Top with the second slice of bread, mayonnaise side down.
- Slice the sandwich in half and serve immediately.
Serving Suggestions
- Pair with potato chips, French fries, or a cup of tomato soup.
- Serve alongside a fresh green salad for a light meal.
- Enjoy with iced tea, lemonade, or your favorite cold drink.
Tips
- Use the ripest, in-season tomatoes for the best flavor.
- A pinch of flaky sea salt enhances the sweetness of the tomatoes.
- Add fresh basil, lettuce, crispy bacon, or sliced avocado for a delicious twist.
- Eat immediately after assembling to keep the bread from becoming soggy.
