Slow Cooker 4-Ingredient Shipwreck Casserole

Ingredients

  • 1 lb (450 g) ground beef
  • 4–5 medium potatoes, thinly sliced
  • 1 medium onion, thinly sliced
  • 1 can (10.5 oz / 300 g) condensed tomato soup

Instructions

  1. Brown the ground beef in a skillet over medium heat. Drain excess fat.
  2. Lightly grease the slow cooker.
  3. Layer half of the sliced potatoes in the bottom of the slow cooker.
  4. Add half of the sliced onions over the potatoes.
  5. Spread half of the cooked ground beef on top.
  6. Repeat the layers with the remaining potatoes, onions, and beef.
  7. Pour the condensed tomato soup evenly over everything.
  8. Cover and cook on Low for 6–8 hours or High for 3–4 hours, until the potatoes are tender.
  9. Serve hot.

Optional Additions

  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese during the last 20 minutes of cooking
  • Sliced carrots or celery for extra vegetables

Prep Time: 15 minutes
Cook Time: 6–8 hours on Low or 3–4 hours on High.
