Slow Cooker 4-Ingredient Shipwreck Casserole
Ingredients
- 1 lb (450 g) ground beef
- 4–5 medium potatoes, thinly sliced
- 1 medium onion, thinly sliced
- 1 can (10.5 oz / 300 g) condensed tomato soup
Instructions
- Brown the ground beef in a skillet over medium heat. Drain excess fat.
- Lightly grease the slow cooker.
- Layer half of the sliced potatoes in the bottom of the slow cooker.
- Add half of the sliced onions over the potatoes.
- Spread half of the cooked ground beef on top.
- Repeat the layers with the remaining potatoes, onions, and beef.
- Pour the condensed tomato soup evenly over everything.
- Cover and cook on Low for 6–8 hours or High for 3–4 hours, until the potatoes are tender.
- Serve hot.
Optional Additions
- Salt and black pepper to taste
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese during the last 20 minutes of cooking
- Sliced carrots or celery for extra vegetables
