Meat Lovers Pizza Bread
Savory ground beef baked into a cheesy pizza-style bread packed with classic Italian flavors for a satisfying bite!
Ingredients
- 1/2 lb (225 g) lean ground beef
- 1/2 tsp dried oregano
- 1/4 tsp garlic powder
- 1/4 tsp onion powder
- 1/2 tsp Italian seasoning
- 1/2 cup pizza sauce
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 tube refrigerated pizza dough (or 1 lb homemade pizza dough)
- 2 tbsp butter, melted
- 1 tbsp chopped fresh parsley (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Cook the beef: In a skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef until browned. Drain excess fat. Stir in oregano, garlic powder, onion powder, and Italian seasoning.
- Prepare the dough: Roll out the pizza dough into a rectangle on a lightly floured surface.
- Add the fillings: Spread the pizza sauce evenly over the dough, leaving a 1-inch border around the edges. Sprinkle half of the mozzarella cheese over the sauce, then add the seasoned beef. Top with the remaining mozzarella and Parmesan cheese.
- Roll and seal: Starting from the long side, roll the dough tightly into a log. Pinch the seams and ends closed.
- Bake: Place the roll seam-side down on the prepared baking sheet. Brush the top with melted butter.
- Cook for 25–30 minutes, or until golden brown and cooked through.
- Finish and serve: Let cool for 5–10 minutes before slicing. Garnish with fresh parsley if desired.
