Slow Cooker Cabbage and Smoked Sausage

Ingredients
- 1 medium head green cabbage, cut into wedges
- 14 oz (400 g) smoked sausage or kielbasa, sliced
- 1 medium onion, sliced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 cups chicken broth
- 1 tablespoon butter
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon salt (or to taste)
Instructions
- Place the cabbage wedges in the bottom of a slow cooker.
- Scatter the sliced onion and minced garlic over the cabbage.
- Add the sliced smoked sausage on top.
- Pour the chicken broth into the slow cooker.
- Sprinkle with paprika, salt, and black pepper.
- Add the butter on top.
- Cover and cook on Low for 6–7 hours or High for 3–4 hours, until the cabbage is tender and the sausage is heated through.
- Gently stir before serving and spoon some of the flavorful broth over each serving.
