4-Ingredient Poor Man’s Easter Weekend Beef

Ingredients
- 1½ pounds ground beef, formed into 4 even patties
- 1 (10.5-ounce) can condensed cream of mushroom soup
- 1 (10.5-ounce) can condensed beef broth, or 1¼ cups beef broth
- 1 (1-ounce) packet onion soup mix
- ½ teaspoon black pepper (optional, to taste)
Directions
- Form the ground beef into 4 equal patties and place them in a large skillet or baking dish.
- In a medium bowl, whisk together the cream of mushroom soup, beef broth, onion soup mix, and black pepper until smooth.
- Pour the mixture evenly over the beef patties, making sure they are well coated.
- Cover and cook:
- Stovetop: Simmer over medium-low heat for 35–40 minutes, turning once halfway through.
- Oven: Bake covered at 350°F (175°C) for 45–50 minutes.
- The patties are done when fully cooked through and tender. Spoon the rich gravy over the top before serving.
Serving Ideas
Serve with mashed potatoes, rice, egg noodles, or buttered bread to soak up the flavorful gravy. Green beans or corn also make great side dishes.
