Loaded Bacon Cheese Hot Dog Boats
Toasted hot dog boats loaded with smoky sausage, melted cheese, bacon, and onions.
Ingredients:
– 6 hot dog buns
– 6 beef hot dogs
– 1 1/2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
– 8 slices bacon, cooked and chopped
– 1/3 cup diced red onion
– 2 tablespoons butter, melted
– 1/4 cup mayonnaise
– 1 tablespoon yellow mustard
– 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
– 1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika
– 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
– 1 tablespoon chopped parsley, optional
Instructions:
1. Preheat oven to 375°F and place buns on a baking sheet.
2. Brush buns lightly with melted butter.
3. Mix mayonnaise, mustard, garlic powder, smoked paprika, and black pepper.
4. Spread the sauce inside each bun.
5. Place one hot dog inside each bun.
6. Top generously with cheddar cheese.
7. Bake for 10–12 minutes until the cheese melts and buns are toasted.
8. Add chopped bacon and diced red onion over the hot cheese.
9. Bake 2 minutes more, then serve warm.
