Stuffed Crust Pepperoni Pizza
Gooey mozzarella-stuffed crust meets crispy pepperoni and melty cheese for a homemade pizza that tastes even better than takeout.
Ingredients
- 1 pizza dough (homemade or store-bought)
- 8 mozzarella string cheese sticks
- 1 cup pizza sauce
- 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- 20–25 pepperoni slices
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- 2 tablespoons grated Parmesan cheese
- Cornmeal or flour for dusting
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 220°C (425°F). If using a pizza stone, place it in the oven while preheating.
- Lightly flour your surface and roll the pizza dough into a large circle, slightly bigger than your pizza pan.
- Place the mozzarella string cheese sticks around the edge of the dough, leaving about 2 cm from the border.
- Fold the dough over the cheese sticks and pinch tightly to seal all the way around, creating the stuffed crust.
- Spread pizza sauce evenly over the center of the dough, avoiding the crust edges.
- Sprinkle shredded mozzarella cheese over the sauce.
- Arrange pepperoni slices evenly on top.
- Mix olive oil, garlic powder, and Italian seasoning together, then brush over the crust.
- Sprinkle Parmesan cheese around the crust for extra flavor.
- Bake for 15–18 minutes or until the crust is golden brown and the cheese is bubbly.
- Let the pizza cool for 3–5 minutes before slicing and serving.
Tips
- Add cooked sausage, mushrooms, olives, or peppers for extra toppings.
- For a crispier crust, bake directly on a pizza stone.
- Serve with ranch dressing or garlic butter for dipping.
Enjoy your cheesy stuffed crust pepperoni pizza fresh out of the oven.
