Prime Rib Roast

 Prime Rib Roast (Juicy & Tender)

 Ingredients:

  • 1.5 to 3 kg prime rib roast
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tbsp coarse salt
  • 1 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp rosemary
  • 1 tsp thyme
  • Optional: butter (for extra richness)

 Instructions:

1) Preparation:

  • Take the meat out of the fridge and let it sit at room temperature for 1–2 hours (important for even cooking).
  • Preheat your oven to 220°C (425°F).

2) Seasoning:

  • Mix garlic, olive oil, salt, pepper, rosemary, and thyme.
  • Rub the mixture all over the meat.

3) High-heat roasting:

  • Roast in the oven for 20 minutes at high temperature to brown the outside.

4) Slow cooking:

  • Reduce heat to 160°C (325°F).
  • Continue cooking based on doneness:
    •  Rare: about 15 min per 500g
    •  Medium: about 20 min per 500g
    •  Well done: about 25 min per 500g

5) Resting:

  • Remove from oven and let it rest for 20–30 minutes before slicing.

 Serving:

  • Slice and serve with:
    • Mashed potatoes
    • Roasted vegetables
    • Garlic butter or beef gravy

Tip:
Don’t cut the meat immediately after cooking—resting keeps it juicy and tender.
