Soft Homemade Bread (Mini Loaves)
Ingredients:
- 3 cups all-purpose flour
- 3 teaspoons sugar
- 1 packet rapid-rise yeast
- 1 cup warm water (not too hot)
- 3 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 1/4 teaspoons salt
Instructions:
- Mix the dry ingredients
In a large bowl, combine the flour, sugar, yeast, and salt. Mix well. - Add the liquids
Pour in the warm water and olive oil. Mix until a dough forms. - Knead the dough
Knead for about 8–10 minutes until the dough becomes smooth and elastic.
(If it’s too sticky, add a little more flour.) - First rise
Cover the dough and let it rest for about 1 hour, or until it doubles in size. - Shape the dough
Divide into small portions and shape into balls. Place them in small baking pans or one large pan. - Second rise
Let them rest again for 20–30 minutes. - Bake
Bake in a preheated oven at 180°C (350°F) for 20–25 minutes, until golden brown. - Optional finish
Brush the tops with a little butter right after baking for extra softness and shine
Tips:
- Make sure the water is warm, not hot (hot water can kill the yeast).
- You can replace part of the water with milk for a richer flavor.
- Add more sugar if you prefer slightly sweeter bread.
