Creamy Spinach Parmesan Baked Chicken

A rich, comforting, and weeknight-easy dinner with juicy chicken baked in a velvety spinach-Parmesan cream sauce.

Ingredients

  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • Salt and black pepper, to taste
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup chicken broth
  • 1 cup fresh spinach, chopped
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/2 tsp Italian seasoning
  • 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Lightly grease a baking dish.
  2. Season chicken with salt, pepper, and paprika on both sides.
  3. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Sear chicken 2–3 minutes per side until lightly golden (not fully cooked). Remove and set aside.
  4. In the same skillet, sauté garlic 30 seconds until fragrant.
  5. Add heavy cream and chicken broth. Simmer 3–4 minutes.
  6. Stir in spinach, Parmesan, and Italian seasoning. Cook until spinach wilts and sauce thickens slightly.
  7. Place chicken in the baking dish. Pour the creamy spinach sauce over the top.
  8. Sprinkle mozzarella evenly over everything.
  9. Bake 20–25 minutes until chicken is cooked through and cheese is bubbly and golden.
  10. Rest 5 minutes before serving.

Tips

  • Pound thicker breasts for even cooking.
  • Add mushrooms or sun-dried tomatoes for extra flavor.
  • Serve with rice, pasta, or mashed potatoes to soak up the sauce.
