Southern 3-Ingredient Bacon Wrapped Water Chestnuts

Sweet, Savory & Irresistibly Crunchy

My aunt brought a batch to Sunday dinner, and let’s just say… people were literally fighting over the last piece
It’s one of those recipes that looks simple—but the flavor? Absolutely unbelievable. Sweet, salty, crispy, and crunchy all in one bite!

 Ingredients:

  • 1 can whole water chestnuts (drained)
  • 12 slices bacon (cut in half)
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar

 Instructions:

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Wrap each water chestnut with half a slice of bacon and secure with a toothpick.
  3. Roll each piece in brown sugar until well coated.
  4. Place on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper or foil.
  5. Bake for 25–30 minutes, or until bacon is crispy and caramelized.

 Pro Tip:
For extra flavor, add a light drizzle of soy sauce or a sprinkle of black pepper before baking
