Caramelized Bananas
Ingredients
- 1/2 cup light brown sugar (packed)
- 4 over-ripe bananas (sliced into 1/2 inch thick rounds)
- 1/2 cup salted sweet cream butter (cut into small pats)
Instructions
- Melt the butter
In a large skillet over medium heat, add the butter and let it melt completely until slightly bubbly. - Add brown sugar
Stir in the brown sugar. Cook for about 1–2 minutes until it starts to dissolve and forms a smooth, caramel-like sauce. - Cook the bananas
Gently place the banana slices into the skillet in a single layer. Cook for about 1–2 minutes per side.
Be careful—bananas are soft, so don’t stir too aggressively. - Caramel coat
Spoon the sauce over the bananas as they cook, letting them soak up the caramel flavor. - Serve immediately
Remove from heat and serve warm.
