Baked Ham and Cheese Mozzarella Sticks
—simple, crispy, and super cheesy
Ingredients
- 12 egg roll wrappers (7-inch squares)
- 12 slices honey ham (thinly sliced)
- 12 mozzarella string cheese sticks
- 1 egg (beaten, for sealing)
- Cooking spray or a little oil (for brushing)
Optional (for extra flavor):
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- 1/2 tsp Italian seasoning
- Marinara sauce (for dipping)
Instructions
- Preheat oven
Set your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper. - Assemble the sticks
- Lay one egg roll wrapper on a clean surface (corner facing you like a diamond).
- Place a slice of ham in the center.
- Put one mozzarella stick on top of the ham.
- Fold the bottom corner over the filling, then fold in the sides, and roll tightly like a burrito.
- Seal
Brush the edges with beaten egg to seal completely. - Arrange & coat
Place each roll seam-side down on the baking sheet.
Lightly spray or brush with oil.
(Optional: sprinkle garlic powder + Italian seasoning on top) - Bake
Bake for 12–15 minutes, or until golden brown and crispy. - Serve
Let them cool slightly (the cheese will be hot!), then serve with marinara sauce.
Tips
- Don’t overfill or they might burst while baking.
- Make sure they’re tightly sealed to keep the cheese from leaking.
- For extra crispiness, flip them halfway through baking.
