No-Knead Seed Bread (Bowl Bread)
Ingredients
- 3 cups (375 g) all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon sugar or honey
- 1 teaspoon instant yeast
- 1 1/4 cups (300 ml) warm water
- 3–4 tablespoons mixed seeds (sunflower, flax, sesame, etc.)
- 1 tablespoon olive oil (optional)
Instructions
- Mix the dough
In a bowl, combine flour, salt, sugar, yeast, and seeds. Add warm water and mix with a spoon until you get a sticky dough (like in the image). - First rise
Cover and let it rest for 1–2 hours (or until doubled in size). - Prepare the bowl
Grease a small oven-safe glass bowl or ramekin. Sprinkle extra seeds at the bottom and sides. - Shape & second rise
Transfer the dough into the bowl (no kneading needed). Smooth the top and add more seeds. Let it rise another 30–45 minutes. - Bake
Bake at 180°C (350°F) for 30–40 minutes until golden brown on top. - Cool & slice
Let it cool slightly, then remove from the bowl and slice like shown.
Tips
- For extra crunch: brush the top with a little water before baking and add more seeds.
- You can replace part of the flour with whole wheat for a healthier version.
- If you want a crispier crust, bake 5–10 minutes longer outside the bowl at the end.
