Mediterranean Burrata and Pita Board
Ingredients
For the Pita:
- 2–3 pita breads
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
- Pinch of salt
For the Board:
- 2 balls burrata cheese
- 1 cup cherry tomatoes, halved
- 1/2 cucumber, sliced
- 1/4 red onion, thinly sliced
- 1/3 cup Kalamata olives
- 2 tablespoons fresh basil leaves
- 1–2 tablespoons balsamic glaze
- Extra virgin olive oil (for drizzling)
- Salt and black pepper to taste
Instructions
1. Prepare the Pita
- Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F).
- Slice the pita breads into triangles.
- Place them on a baking sheet and brush with olive oil.
- Sprinkle with oregano and a pinch of salt.
- Bake for 8–10 minutes until golden and crispy.
2. Assemble the Board
- Place the burrata in the center of a serving board or large plate.
- Arrange cherry tomatoes, cucumber slices, red onion, and olives around it.
- Scatter fresh basil leaves on top.
3. Finish & Serve
- Drizzle olive oil and balsamic glaze over the burrata and vegetables.
- Season lightly with salt and black pepper.
- Serve immediately with the warm crispy pita.
Tips
- Add hummus or roasted red peppers for extra flavor.
- A sprinkle of chili flakes gives a nice kick
- Best enjoyed fresh while the burrata is creamy inside.
