Crispy Oven-Baked Chicken Wings
Ingredients:
- 2 lbs chicken wings (split, tips removed)
- 1 tbsp baking powder (NOT baking soda)
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tsp black pepper
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp paprika
Instructions:
- Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C).
- Pat wings dry with paper towels (this is key for crispiness).
- Toss wings with baking powder + seasonings.
- Place on a wire rack over a baking sheet.
- Bake:
- 20 minutes, flip
- 25–30 more minutes until crispy and golden
Quick Buffalo Sauce
- 1/2 cup hot sauce (like Frank’s)
- 1/4 cup melted butter
- Optional: dash of garlic powder
Mix and toss wings in it right after baking.
Honey Garlic Option
- 1/3 cup honey
- 2 tbsp soy sauce
- 3 cloves garlic (minced)
- 1 tbsp butter
Simmer for a few minutes, then toss wings.
