Creamy Apple Salad Recipe
Ingredients:
- 3 large apples (Honeycrisp or any crisp, sweet variety), diced
- 1 cup celery, finely chopped
- 1 cup seedless grapes (red or green), halved
- ½ cup pecans, roughly chopped
- ½ cup dried cranberries
- ½ cup mayonnaise
- 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
- 2 tablespoons granulated sugar (or honey, to taste)
- Pinch of salt
Instructions:
- Prepare the apples
Wash, core, and dice the apples into bite-sized pieces. Toss them with lemon juice to prevent browning. - Combine the salad ingredients
In a large mixing bowl, add the diced apples, chopped celery, grapes, pecans, and dried cranberries. - Make the dressing
In a separate small bowl, whisk together the mayonnaise, sugar (or honey), and a pinch of salt until smooth and creamy. - Mix everything together
Pour the dressing over the apple mixture and gently stir until all ingredients are well coated. - Chill and serve
Cover the bowl and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes before serving. This helps the flavors blend together.
Tips:
- For a lighter version, replace half of the mayonnaise with plain yogurt.
- You can use walnuts instead of pecans if preferred.
- Adjust sweetness by adding more or less sugar or honey.
- Best served chilled and fresh.
