 Chicken Bacon Crunch Casserole

A creamy ranch chicken casserole layered with crispy bacon, golden tater tots, and melty cheddar cheese—perfect for a hearty weeknight dinner.

Ingredients:

  • 32 oz (about 4 cups) frozen tater tots
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 3 cups cooked chicken, shredded or diced
  • 1 cup cooked bacon, chopped
  • 1 can (10.5 oz) cream of chicken soup
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1 packet (1 oz) ranch seasoning mix
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Optional: chopped green onions or parsley for garnish

Instructions:

  1. Preheat oven: Set your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Prepare the chicken mixture:
    • In a large bowl, combine the shredded chicken, cream of chicken soup, sour cream, ranch seasoning, and a pinch of salt and pepper. Mix until well blended.
  3. Assemble casserole:
    • Spread half of the chicken mixture in a greased 9×13-inch baking dish.
    • Sprinkle half of the cooked bacon and half of the shredded cheddar on top.
    • Layer the frozen tater tots evenly over the top.
    • Spread the remaining chicken mixture over the tater tots.
    • Top with the remaining bacon and cheddar cheese.
  4. Bake: Cover with foil and bake for 25–30 minutes. Remove foil and bake an additional 15–20 minutes until the tater tots are golden and the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  5. Serve: Let the casserole cool for 5 minutes, then garnish with green onions or parsley if desired. Slice and enjoy!
