Sausage Cream Cheese Crescent Rolls
Ingredients
- 1 package of breakfast sausage (about 250–300 g / 8–10 oz)
- 1 package of cream cheese (8 oz / 225 g), softened
- 2 cans of crescent roll dough (8 oz / 225 g each)
- Optional: black pepper, paprika, or your favorite seasoning
Instructions
1. Cook the Sausage
- Heat a non-stick skillet over medium heat.
- Add the sausage and cook until browned and fully cooked, breaking it into small pieces.
- Drain excess fat.
2. Prepare the Filling
- While the sausage is still warm, mix it with the cream cheese in a bowl.
- Stir until smooth and fully combined.
- Add black pepper, paprika, or your preferred spices if desired.
3. Prepare the Crescent Rolls
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (180°C).
- Open the crescent roll dough and separate it into triangles on a clean surface.
4. Fill and Roll
- Place a spoonful of the sausage and cream cheese mixture on the wide end of each triangle.
- Roll the dough from the wide end to the point to form a crescent shape.
- Place the rolls on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
5. Bake
- Bake in the preheated oven for 12–15 minutes, or until golden brown.
- Remove from the oven and let cool for a few minutes before serving.
Serving Suggestions
- Serve warm for breakfast, brunch, or as a snack.
- Pair with ketchup, spicy mustard, or a light dipping sauce.
- Leftovers can be stored in the refrigerator and reheated.
