Oven-Baked 4-Ingredient Amish Chicken and Green Bean Bake

Ingredients

  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 can (10.5 oz) cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 lb fresh or frozen green beans
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven: Set your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Prepare chicken: Place the chicken breasts in a lightly greased 9×13-inch baking dish.
  3. Add soup: Pour the cream of mushroom soup over the chicken, spreading it evenly.
  4. Add green beans: Arrange the green beans around and on top of the chicken.
  5. Bake: Cover the dish with foil and bake for 35-40 minutes (if chicken breasts are large, check for doneness at 45 minutes).
  6. Add cheese: Remove the foil, sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese over the top, and bake uncovered for another 5-10 minutes, until cheese is melted and bubbly.
  7. Serve: Let it rest for 5 minutes, then serve warm.

Tips:

  • For extra flavor, sprinkle some garlic powder, onion powder, or paprika over the chicken before baking.
  • You can also substitute cream of mushroom soup with cream of chicken soup if preferred.
