Cheeseburger Burrito

Cheeseburger Burrito (Animal Style)

Juicy, cheesy, saucy, and loaded with flavor—this burrito brings all the vibes of a classic fast-food cheeseburger wrapped in a warm tortilla.

Ingredients

  • 1 onion, finely chopped
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • Salt and black pepper, to taste
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup cooked French fries (crispy)
  • 4 large flour tortillas

Animal-Style Sauce:

  • ½ cup mayonnaise
  • 2 tablespoons ketchup
  • 1 tablespoon mustard
  • 1 tablespoon sweet pickle relish
  • 1 teaspoon vinegar

Instructions

  1. Cook the onions
    • In a skillet over medium heat, melt the butter.
    • Add chopped onions and cook until soft and caramelized (about 8–10 minutes). Set aside.
  2. Cook the beef
    • In the same pan, cook the ground beef until browned.
    • Season with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and paprika.
    • Drain excess grease if needed.
  3. Make the sauce
    • In a small bowl, mix mayonnaise, ketchup, mustard, relish, and vinegar until smooth.
  4. Warm the tortillas
    • Heat tortillas in a pan or microwave until soft and easy to fold.
  5. Assemble the burritos
    • Lay out each tortilla.
    • Add a layer of ground beef, caramelized onions, fries, and shredded cheese.
    • Drizzle generously with the animal-style sauce.
  6. Wrap and toast
    • Fold in the sides and roll tightly into a burrito.
    • Toast seam-side down in a skillet until golden and crispy on all sides.
  7. Serve
    • Slice in half and serve hot with extra sauce on the side.

Tips

  • Add pickles inside for extra tang.
  • Swap fries for hash browns for a breakfast twist.
  • Use burger slices instead of ground beef for a chunkier texture.
