This easy 5-ingredient casserole is hearty, comforting, and incredibly simple to make. With just a handful of pantry-friendly ingredients, it comes together quickly and makes a satisfying family dinner.
Ingredients
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 can (10.5 oz) condensed cream of mushroom soup
- 1 can (15 oz) tomato sauce
- 1 medium onion, finely chopped
- 1 package (16 oz) egg noodles
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Cook the egg noodles according to the package directions until just tender. Drain well.
- Meanwhile, brown the ground beef and chopped onion in a large skillet over medium heat. Cook until the beef is no longer pink and the onion is softened. Drain any excess grease.
- Stir in the tomato sauce and cream of mushroom soup until well combined.
- Add the cooked noodles to the beef mixture and gently stir until everything is evenly coated.
- Transfer the mixture to a greased 9×13-inch baking dish and spread it into an even layer.
- Bake uncovered for about 25–30 minutes, until hot and bubbly.
- Let the casserole rest for 5 minutes before serving.
Tips
- For extra flavor, season the beef with a little salt, black pepper, garlic powder, or paprika.
- Don’t overcook the noodles since they will continue cooking in the oven.
- Leftovers can be refrigerated in an airtight container for up to 3–4 days.
- Reheat individual portions in the microwave until heated through.
Serve warm for an easy, comforting dinner the whole family can enjoy.
