Ingredients
For the Cheesy Herb Bites:
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/2 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 large egg
- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- 1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
- Vegetable oil, for frying
For the Creamy Dip:
- 1/2 cup sour cream
- 1/4 cup mayonnaise
- 2 tablespoons cream cheese, softened
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon dried parsley
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 teaspoon lemon juice
- Salt, to taste
Instructions
- In a large bowl, combine the mozzarella, cheddar, Parmesan, egg, flour, garlic powder, Italian seasoning, parsley, black pepper, and salt.
- Mix until everything is well combined and forms a thick, sticky mixture.
- Scoop out small portions and roll them into bite-sized balls.
- Roll each cheese ball in breadcrumbs, gently pressing the crumbs onto the surface so they stick well.
- Heat about 1 inch of vegetable oil in a skillet over medium heat.
- Carefully add the bites in small batches. Fry for about 2–3 minutes per side, turning gently, until golden brown and crispy.
- Transfer the cooked bites to a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess oil.
- For the dip, combine sour cream, mayonnaise, cream cheese, garlic powder, parsley, black pepper, lemon juice, and salt in a small bowl. Stir until completely smooth and creamy.
- Serve the crispy cheesy herb bites warm with the creamy dip on the side.
Pro Tip
For extra-crispy bites, chill the shaped cheese balls for 15–20 minutes before frying. This helps them hold their shape and keeps the cheesy center wonderfully gooey.
