Soft, fluffy, and perfectly golden muffins made in the air fryer! A quick and easy treat that’s perfect for breakfast or snack time. I can’t wait for the kids to taste them and share their verdict!
Ingredients
- 1 ½ cups all-purpose flour
- ½ cup granulated sugar
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- ¼ teaspoon salt
- 1 large egg
- ½ cup milk
- ⅓ cup vegetable oil or melted butter
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- ½ cup chocolate chips or blueberries, optional
Instructions
- In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
- In a separate bowl, whisk the egg, milk, oil or melted butter, and vanilla extract until well combined.
- Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients. Stir gently with a spatula until just combined. Do not overmix—the batter should be slightly lumpy.
- Fold in the chocolate chips or blueberries if using.
- Line silicone muffin cups with paper liners, then fill each cup about ⅔ to ¾ full with batter.
- Preheat the air fryer to 350°F (175°C) for about 3 minutes.
- Place the muffin cups carefully in the air fryer basket, leaving a little space between them for air circulation.
- Air fry at 350°F (175°C) for 10–14 minutes, depending on the size of your muffins and your air fryer. Start checking around 10 minutes.
- Insert a toothpick into the center of a muffin. If it comes out clean or with a few moist crumbs, they’re ready.
- Let the muffins cool for 5 minutes before serving.
Tips for Perfect Air Fryer Muffins
- Don’t fill the muffin cups too much, as the muffins will rise while cooking.
- Silicone muffin cups work especially well in the air fryer.
- Every air fryer is different, so cooking time may vary slightly.
- For extra moist muffins, avoid overmixing the batter.
- You can add chocolate chips, blueberries, chopped strawberries, or a little cinnamon.
Enjoy these delicious homemade muffins warm with a cup of milk or hot chocolate!
