- 3 garlic cloves, minced
- 4 ounces cream cheese, softened
- 1/2 cup sour cream
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/2 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- 1/2 teaspoon paprika
- Salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste
- 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley
- Cooking spray
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Lightly spray a 24-cup mini muffin pan with cooking spray.
- Press one wonton wrapper into each muffin cup, forming small cups.
- Bake the wonton wrappers for 5 minutes until they begin to turn lightly golden.
- Meanwhile, heat the olive oil and butter in a skillet over medium heat.
- Add the garlic and cook for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
- Add the chopped shrimp, paprika, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Cook for 2–3 minutes until the shrimp are just pink. Remove from the heat and let cool slightly.
- In a medium bowl, combine the cream cheese, sour cream, mozzarella, cheddar, Parmesan, and parsley.
- Fold the cooked shrimp into the cheese mixture until well combined.
- Spoon the filling evenly into the baked wonton cups.
- Return the pan to the oven and bake for 10–12 minutes, or until the filling is hot and bubbly and the edges of the wonton wrappers are golden brown.
- Let cool for 3–5 minutes before removing the bites from the pan.
- Garnish with additional chopped parsley and serve warm.
Tips
- Pat the shrimp dry before cooking to prevent excess moisture.
- For a spicy kick, add a pinch of cayenne pepper or crushed red pepper flakes.
- You can prepare the filling a day ahead and refrigerate it until ready to bake.
- Serve with garlic aioli, sweet chili sauce, or marinara for dipping.
