Ingredients

For the Ribeye

  • 2 ribeye steaks (10–12 ounces each)
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 3 garlic cloves, smashed
  • 2 sprigs fresh rosemary or thyme
  • Salt, to taste
  • Freshly ground black pepper, to taste

For the Creamy Garlic Shrimp Fettuccine

  • 12 ounces fettuccine
  • 1 pound medium shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 4 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/2 cup chicken broth
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika
  • Salt and black pepper, to taste
  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley
  • Optional: red pepper flakes for a little heat

Instructions

  1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil and cook the fettuccine according to the package directions until al dente. Reserve 1/2 cup of the pasta water, then drain.
  2. Pat the ribeye steaks dry and season generously with salt and pepper.
  3. Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Sear the steaks for about 3–4 minutes per side for medium-rare, depending on thickness.
  4. Add the butter, smashed garlic, and rosemary or thyme to the skillet. Tilt the pan and spoon the melted butter over the steaks for 1–2 minutes. Transfer the steaks to a cutting board and let them rest for at least 10 minutes.
  5. Season the shrimp with paprika, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper.
  6. In the same skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the shrimp and cook for 1–2 minutes per side until pink. Remove and set aside.
  7. Add the minced garlic to the skillet and sauté for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
  8. Pour in the chicken broth and heavy cream, stirring well. Simmer for 2–3 minutes.
  9. Stir in the Parmesan cheese until melted and smooth. If needed, add a splash of the reserved pasta water to reach your desired consistency.
  10. Add the cooked fettuccine and toss until fully coated in the creamy garlic sauce.
  11. Return the shrimp to the skillet and gently mix everything together.
  12. Slice the rested ribeye against the grain.
  13. Divide the creamy shrimp fettuccine among serving plates and top with sliced ribeye. Garnish with fresh parsley and, if desired, a pinch of red pepper flakes.

Tips

  • Use freshly grated Parmesan for the smoothest, creamiest sauce.
  • Let the steak rest before slicing to keep it juicy.
  • Avoid overcooking the shrimp—they only need a few minutes.
  • Serve with garlic bread and a fresh green salad for a complete meal.
