- 8 thin slices cooked ham
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- Salt and black pepper, to taste
For the Creamy Garlic Sauce
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 4 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 tablespoon all-purpose flour
- 1 cup heavy cream
- ½ cup chicken broth
- ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard (optional)
- ½ teaspoon Italian seasoning
- Salt and black pepper, to taste
Garnish
- Fresh chopped parsley
- Extra grated Parmesan cheese
Instructions

- Lay each slice of ham flat. Place 2 asparagus spears on one end and roll the ham tightly around them.
- Arrange the rolls seam-side down in a lightly greased baking dish.
- In a saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and cook for about 1 minute until fragrant.
- Stir in the flour and cook for another minute.
- Slowly whisk in the chicken broth, then the heavy cream, stirring constantly until smooth.
- Add the Parmesan cheese, Dijon mustard, and Italian seasoning. Cook for 2–3 minutes until the sauce thickens. Season with salt and pepper.
- Pour the creamy garlic sauce evenly over the ham rolls.
- Bake for 15–20 minutes, until heated through and bubbling. For a golden top, broil for the last 2–3 minutes.
- Sprinkle with fresh parsley and extra Parmesan before serving.
