90-Second Keto Death-By-Chocolate Mug Cake

Description

This rich and fudgy 90-Second Keto Death-By-Chocolate Mug Cake is the perfect fix for a late-night cake craving. It’s dark, moist, chocolatey, and ready in just 90 seconds in the microwave. No dry texture, no weird eggy taste — just a gooey, brownie-like keto dessert in one mug.

Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoons almond flour
  • 1 tablespoon unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 tablespoon granulated keto sweetener (erythritol, monk fruit, or preferred sweetener)
  • 1/4 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 tablespoon butter, melted
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 tablespoon heavy cream
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 tablespoon sugar-free chocolate chips (optional, for extra gooey chocolate)
  • Pinch of salt

Instructions

  1. Prepare the mug
Lightly grease a microwave-safe mug with butter or nonstick spray.
  2. Mix the dry ingredients
In the mug, add the almond flour, cocoa powder, keto sweetener, baking powder, and a pinch of salt. Stir until well combined.
  3. Add the wet ingredients
Add the melted butter, egg, heavy cream, and vanilla extract. Mix very well until the batter is smooth and no lumps remain.
  4. Add chocolate chips
Stir in the sugar-free chocolate chips if using.
  5. Microwave
Microwave on high for 60 to 90 seconds, depending on your microwave.

    • 60–70 seconds = softer, gooier center
    • 80–90 seconds = more set cake texture
  6. Cool slightly
Let the mug cake sit for 1 minute before eating. The center will stay soft and fudgy.

Optional Toppings

  • A spoonful of whipped cream
  • A few extra sugar-free chocolate chips
  • Unsweetened cocoa powder dusted on top
  • A drizzle of keto chocolate sauce
  • A pinch of sea salt for a brownie-style finish

Tips

  • Don’t overcook it, or it can become dry.
  • For an even richer cake, add 1 teaspoon peanut butter or cream cheese in the center before microwaving.
  • Best eaten warm, straight from the mug.
