Meat Lovers Pizza Bread

Savory ground beef baked into a cheesy pizza-style bread packed with classic Italian flavors for a satisfying bite!

Ingredients

  • 1/2 lb (225 g) lean ground beef
  • 1/2 tsp dried oregano
  • 1/4 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/4 tsp onion powder
  • 1/2 tsp Italian seasoning
  • 1/2 cup pizza sauce
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 tube refrigerated pizza dough (or 1 lb homemade pizza dough)
  • 2 tbsp butter, melted
  • 1 tbsp chopped fresh parsley (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Cook the beef: In a skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef until browned. Drain excess fat. Stir in oregano, garlic powder, onion powder, and Italian seasoning.
  3. Prepare the dough: Roll out the pizza dough into a rectangle on a lightly floured surface.
  4. Add the fillings: Spread the pizza sauce evenly over the dough, leaving a 1-inch border around the edges. Sprinkle half of the mozzarella cheese over the sauce, then add the seasoned beef. Top with the remaining mozzarella and Parmesan cheese.
  5. Roll and seal: Starting from the long side, roll the dough tightly into a log. Pinch the seams and ends closed.
  6. Bake: Place the roll seam-side down on the prepared baking sheet. Brush the top with melted butter.
  7. Cook for 25–30 minutes, or until golden brown and cooked through.
  8. Finish and serve: Let cool for 5–10 minutes before slicing. Garnish with fresh parsley if desired.
