Cheesy Bacon Chicken Garlic Butter Egg Rolls

Golden, crispy outside… creamy, cheesy, savory inside!

 Ingredients

For the filling:

  • 2 cups cooked chicken (shredded or diced)
  • 6 slices bacon (cooked and crumbled)
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • ½ cup cream cheese (softened)
  • 2 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 2 tbsp chopped parsley (optional)
  • Salt & black pepper (to taste)

For the egg rolls:

  • 10–12 egg roll wrappers
  • 1 egg (beaten, for sealing)
  • Oil (for frying)

 Instructions

1️⃣ Prepare the garlic butter

In a pan, melt the butter over medium heat.
Add minced garlic and cook for about 1 minute until fragrant (don’t burn it!).

2️⃣ Make the filling

In a bowl, combine:

  • Cooked chicken
  • Crumbled bacon
  • Mozzarella
  • Cream cheese
  • Garlic butter
  • Parsley

Mix everything well until creamy and fully combined. Season with salt and pepper.

3️⃣ Assemble the egg rolls

  • Lay one wrapper on a flat surface (diamond shape).
  • Add 2–3 tablespoons of filling in the center.
  • Fold the bottom corner over the filling.
  • Fold in the sides, then roll tightly.
  • Seal the edge with beaten egg.

4️⃣ Fry until crispy

  • Heat oil to 175°C (350°F).
  • Fry egg rolls in batches for 3–4 minutes until golden brown and crispy.
  • Remove and drain on paper towels.

 Optional (Healthier Method)

Bake at 200°C (400°F) for 15–18 minutes or air fry at 190°C (375°F) for 10–12 minutes, flipping halfway.

 Serving Ideas

Serve with:

  • Garlic aioli
  • Ranch dressing
  • Spicy mayo
  • Honey mustard

 Tips

  • Use rotisserie chicken for extra flavor and convenience.
  • Don’t overfill the wrappers or they may burst.
  • Keep wrappers covered so they don’t dry out.
