 Soft Homemade Bread (Mini Loaves)

 Ingredients:

  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 3 teaspoons sugar
  • 1 packet rapid-rise yeast
  • 1 cup warm water (not too hot)
  • 3 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 1/4 teaspoons salt

 Instructions:

  1. Mix the dry ingredients
    In a large bowl, combine the flour, sugar, yeast, and salt. Mix well.
  2. Add the liquids
    Pour in the warm water and olive oil. Mix until a dough forms.
  3. Knead the dough
    Knead for about 8–10 minutes until the dough becomes smooth and elastic.
    (If it’s too sticky, add a little more flour.)
  4. First rise
    Cover the dough and let it rest for about 1 hour, or until it doubles in size.
  5. Shape the dough
    Divide into small portions and shape into balls. Place them in small baking pans or one large pan.
  6. Second rise
    Let them rest again for 20–30 minutes.
  7. Bake
    Bake in a preheated oven at 180°C (350°F) for 20–25 minutes, until golden brown.
  8. Optional finish
    Brush the tops with a little butter right after baking for extra softness and shine

 Tips:

  • Make sure the water is warm, not hot (hot water can kill the yeast).
  • You can replace part of the water with milk for a richer flavor.
  • Add more sugar if you prefer slightly sweeter bread.
