Beef Garlic Soy Sauce Noodles (Better Than Takeout!)

Ingredients

  • 8 oz wide noodles (lo mein, fettuccine, or rice noodles)
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp ginger, minced (optional)
  • ¼ cup soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp oyster sauce
  • 1 tbsp hoisin sauce
  • 1 tbsp brown sugar
  • 1 tsp sesame oil
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • 1 tbsp cornstarch
  • ¼ cup water
  • 2 tbsp oil (for cooking)

Instructions

  1. Cook the noodles according to package directions. Drain and set aside.
  2. Make the sauce
    In a bowl, mix soy sauce, oyster sauce, hoisin, brown sugar, sesame oil, pepper, cornstarch, and water.
  3. Cook the beef
    Heat oil in a pan over medium-high heat. Add ground beef and cook until browned.
  4. Add aromatics
    Stir in garlic and ginger. Cook 30 seconds until fragrant.
  5. Add sauce
    Pour the sauce into the beef. Let it simmer 2–3 minutes until thick and glossy.
  6. Toss noodles
    Add the cooked noodles and toss until fully coated in the sauce.
  7. Serve hot
    Optional: sprinkle with sesame seeds or green onions.

Tip: Add a splash of noodle water if you want it extra silky and saucy.
