Beef Garlic Soy Sauce Noodles (Better Than Takeout!)
Ingredients
- 8 oz wide noodles (lo mein, fettuccine, or rice noodles)
- 1 lb ground beef
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tsp ginger, minced (optional)
- ¼ cup soy sauce
- 2 tbsp oyster sauce
- 1 tbsp hoisin sauce
- 1 tbsp brown sugar
- 1 tsp sesame oil
- ½ tsp black pepper
- 1 tbsp cornstarch
- ¼ cup water
- 2 tbsp oil (for cooking)
Instructions
- Cook the noodles according to package directions. Drain and set aside.
- Make the sauce
In a bowl, mix soy sauce, oyster sauce, hoisin, brown sugar, sesame oil, pepper, cornstarch, and water. - Cook the beef
Heat oil in a pan over medium-high heat. Add ground beef and cook until browned. - Add aromatics
Stir in garlic and ginger. Cook 30 seconds until fragrant. - Add sauce
Pour the sauce into the beef. Let it simmer 2–3 minutes until thick and glossy. - Toss noodles
Add the cooked noodles and toss until fully coated in the sauce. - Serve hot
Optional: sprinkle with sesame seeds or green onions.
Tip: Add a splash of noodle water if you want it extra silky and saucy.
