Old-Fashioned Rice Pudding

 Old-Fashioned Rice Pudding (Classic, Creamy & Comforting)

 Ingredients:

  • 2/3 cup Minute Rice
  • 2 3/4 cups milk
  • 1/3 cup sugar
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 1/2 cup raisins
  • Cinnamon (for topping)

 Instructions:

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Prepare the baking dish:
    Lightly butter a 1-quart baking dish.
  3. Combine ingredients:
    Add the following into the dish:

    • Minute Rice
    • Milk
    • Sugar
    • Butter
    • Salt
    • Vanilla extract
    • Nutmeg
    • Raisins
      Stir gently to combine.
  4. Bake:
    Place in the oven and bake for 1 hour.

    • Stir once after 15 minutes
    • Stir again when the pudding is done
  5. Finish:
    Sprinkle cinnamon on top.
  6. Serve:
    Serve warm or chilled. The pudding will thicken as it cools.

 Tips:

  • For an extra creamy texture, add a little more milk.
  • You can replace raisins with other add-ins like coconut or leave them out.
  • The flavor gets even better after it sits for a while.
